I found this quiz called belief-o-matic on Beliefnet to be very interesting and insightful.  I took the quiz a few years ago and it turns out that my beliefs are completely different than the religion I was raised in.  Even my Dad took this quiz and after 70 years of life discovered that his beliefs match other religions more than the one he was practicing.

If you are a curious person and enjoy taking personality quizes, give this a try.

Go to belief-o-matic and start the quiz now!  If you want, share your thoughts below.  I thought it was accurate.

100% Secular Humanist. I agree with my results, but the validity of the survey is questionable.

How come the "science" answers, also cover the "not important/dont know" option? As far as I'm concerned, I do know, and its science. "Dont know/Not important" should be a seperate choice..

Secular humanism is a broad term for atheism and agnoticism. So you are still an atheist if you are a secular humanist, like me. I'm also 100% secular humanist.

unitarian universalism, and secular humanism were my top 2. I consider myself Pantheist, though that wasn't on the list it embraces quite well those two belief systems.

hehe...im an orthodox jew. funny thing is its a running gag with my friends that im jewish (im actually roman catholic) so maybe its a sign. dun dun dunnnnn. and for the atheists, i respect your decision, and i understand your doubts, but wouldnt you rather be saved then to take even the slightest chance of being wrong? cause even if you are right, it wouldnt hurt to believe anyway.

...Good point, i guess. A bit of a waste of my time to believe, but if (somehow) you are right, I really would not like going to hell.

"but wouldnt you rather be saved then to take even the slightest chance of being wrong?" So many religions to choose from - if I choose the wrong wrong I don't get saved - right? (of course, yours is the right one?) 100% secular humanist.

I made this page around midnight last night because I remember taking the quiz and being shocked by my results and I thought it was fun. I had no idea this page would generate so much interest! It is so cool to get so much feedback & honest opinions. Making your own page on anything you want is really cool so I suggest you give it a try-- it is so easy! Anyway, my top 3 are Unitarian Universalism, Reformed Judaism, and Liberal Quaker and I was raised Roman Catholic and that was at the bottom of my list. After doing a little research on my top 3 religions, I realized that this quiz really made sense so I have attended my local Unitarian Universalism fellowship a few times over the past few years and I enjoy it. They welcome everyone from every faith, even atheists, agnostics, and pagans & they ARE NOT A CULT like a lot of people think for some reason. They are creedless and believe in doing good deeds. Well, I hope you all enjoyed taking the quiz! :-)

Phew! I got 96% Reform Judaism. I was worried that I was going to be something totally different from how I was raised. Then I would have to have a crisis, etc.

I keep the Lord in my heart, and spk. with him daily, not only asking, but thanking, and for everyone, not just myself. I don't believe in organized religion. I know people that get all dressed up every Sunday, and after years of "belonging" to a church......well sometimes I think maybe they should just change pastors!! They are miserable people! My personal opinion and observation.....and I will tell you something else.....recently I needed some help, and quick....I use to wait on a woman that runs the church's thrift shop, and have bought hundreds of dollars over the 11 years I have lived here. The first words out of her mouth were "are you a member"! So I responded.....gee you didn't ask me that before I purchased and donated!! See what I mean.....two faced people. Not all of them, but quite a few of them, so therefore, my donations to that "group" happy people just ended at that point. I feel like this time, leaving a sack of cat droppings in a sack by the door, instead of clothing. Let them turn that into a money maker!

That was a pretty good quiz. Apparently I'm a neo-pagan? I didn't really get the concept though.
